A referral service, and we say so
Trim & Truss helps homeowners understand exterior projects and meet independent local pros.
What this site is
Trim & Truss does two things. It publishes plain-English guides to what siding, roofing, windows, decks, trim and gutters cost, with every figure traced to a published source. And it offers a free introduction to an independent local pro when you want one.
We are not a contractor. We do not employ installers, do not perform or supervise work, do not set prices, and do not guarantee what a pro does. When we introduce you to a pro, you deal with that pro directly and decide for yourself whether to hire them.
Why “Trim & Truss”
A truss holds up the roof and trim finishes the edges. Between them, the house exterior is where most of the money, and most of the water damage, goes. The name is a promise to stay on that subject.
How we are paid
It costs homeowners nothing. Independent pros may pay us when we refer a homeowner to them, and we state that in the footer of every page. Our cost guides are written from published sources and linked so you can check them. We do not take payment to change a figure or to rank a pro.
Our size, honestly
This is a new service. Our network of pros is small and still growing, so we may not have someone in your area. If we do not, we will say so instead of passing your details along blindly. We also do not publish reviews, star ratings, or testimonials, because we do not yet have real ones to show, and we will not make them up.
Photos
Photos on this site are real photographs published under free licenses, credited on the photo credits page. They show example homes and work from elsewhere. They are not our projects, because we do not do projects.
